A SIMPLE ESCALATOR INDUCTION

Hypnotic inductions do not have to be long or clever. It is easy to put most people into trance. About a third of the population are highly susceptible and will go into trance with the Escalator Induction.

This induction is a simple conversational induction with a minimal deepener. It uses the idea of a continuous escalator carrying them down deeper and deeper, instead of a countdown as the deepener.

And it's odd for me to think of you sitting there now.... just breathing gently... wondering about... how easily.... how quickly.... you can go into that lovely relaxed state... Ipre-suppositions
and while wondering... maybe you can imagine someone just like you... some other person wanting to go into that relaxed dreamy state.... and how you could help that person into that state of comfort... of quiet relaxation.... and you might imagine saying to that person... become aware of your breathing... of how your breath moves gently in and out... and tell them... how on every breath out ... you can relax a little more... and just rest for a few moments.... and allow time to relax... deeply... completely... and notice how that relaxation progresses... smoothly...VMy Friend John induction
memory... and then get them to imagine a quiet, peaceful spot... maybe on a warm afternoon.... to imagine lying comfortably... somewhere nice.... mind drifting away... imagine arms and legs.... eyelids... are beginning to feel tired and heavy... as heavy as lead.... to relax ... totally... to just let things go... and drift away....
...and now imagine being at the top of an escalator... a moving staircase.... looking down.... and allow them to be carried down that escalator... safely and securely.... carried gently down and down... more deeply relaxed... as that escalator goes down.. carried deeper and deeper... the body relaxes more.... and your mind relaxes more.... going deeper and deeper with every comfortable breath... and by and by you are drifting off into an endless velvety welcoming dreamland...Deepener
